Contact-o-Rama: Look at Your Buddies

Software is a tough business. Not only is it technically sophisticated, it’s also a psychological challenge. After all, we are dealing with real people sitting in front of it. Most of the times, at least. And real people like to look at real faces.

Which is why Contact-o-Rama—the charming address book—will have images. Images of contacts. In case there are any images of those contacts, that is.

For those who have no images, I’ll just share one with you. I call it default. And it just changed in the development version of this fine piece of software:

old buddy new buddy
before after

Aren’t they both amazing? No? Doesn’t matter much—you are supposed to change them anyways. (And please, don’t just take one of those fancy new avatars from 37signals. Those are just mere defaults as well.)

And those who eventually want to take a look at the other (two) astounding pages of this application, may just sign up for the waiting list.

But take care—it’s software, after all.
